(Reuters) - The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will apply some credit card consumer protection rules to buy now, pay later (BNPL) lenders, the agency said on Wednesday, in a bid to impose more oversight on the fast-growing sector.

BERLIN (Reuters) - Defence, social spending and interest payments are limiting the scope for other investments in the German budget, German Finance Minister Christian Lindner said on Wednesday.
"Our federal budget is characterised by social spending, defence and interest [payments]," Lindner said at the economic Humboldt forum in Berlin. "These are the big blocks."

DUBAI (Reuters) - Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani headed to Iran on Wednesday to attend the funeral of late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, the Emiri Diwan said.
Kuwait's Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali al-Yahya also travelled to Tehran on Wednesday to participate in Raisi's funeral on behalf of the Kuwaiti Emir, the foreign ministry reported.
