PARIS (Reuters) - International lawyers representing the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo said on Wednesday new evidence gathered from whistleblowers indicates that Apple is sourcing minerals from conflict areas in the east of the country.
In a statement, the lawyers urged Apple to answer questions about its supply chain in the country, and said they were evaluating legal options.

MADRID (Reuters) - Tech giant Amazon's cloud computing unit Amazon Web Services (AWS) said on Wednesday it will invest 15.7 billion euros ($17.02 billion) in data centres in Spain's Aragon region as it upgraded its growth plan in the country.
The new investment plan replaces a previous one announced in 2021, when the company said it would invest 2.5 billion euros in the country.

LONDON (Reuters) - British defence minister Grant Shapps accused China on Wednesday of providing or preparing to provide Russia with lethal aid for use by Moscow in its war against Ukraine.
Shapps told a conference in London that U.S. and British defence intelligence had evidence that "lethal aid is now, or will be, flowing from China to Russia and into Ukraine, I think it is a significant development".
