(Reuters) - Citigroup's Titi Cole, a top executive in charge of implementing its sweeping restructuring plan, is leaving the bank, an internal memo seen by Reuters showed on Tuesday.

Cole, as the head of legacy franchises, executed the third largest U.S. lender's plan to simplify the firm by completing the sales of consumer banking businesses in nine non-core markets.

US relaxes regulations for labs handling bird flu samples to ease virus response May 14, 2024 01:49PM

CHICAGO (Reuters) - U.S. government officials have temporarily relaxed strict guidelines on how public health laboratories and healthcare facilities handle, store and transport H5N1 bird flu samples, which are considered high-risk pathogens, in response to the recent spread of the virus to dairy cattle.

Google launches Trillium chip, improving AI data center performance fivefold May 14, 2024 01:43PM

(Reuters) - Google parent Alphabet on Tuesday unveiled a product called Trillium in its artificial intelligence data center chip family that it says is nearly five times as fast as its prior version.

US man charged with spider smuggling says he was released by Turkish court May 14, 2024 01:42PM

ANKARA (Reuters) - A curator at the American Museum of Natural History in New York said on Tuesday he was released after Turkish authorities detained him on suspicion of trying to smuggle valuable poisonous spiders and scorpions out of the country.

Blue Origin to resume space tourist flights after near 2-year pause May 14, 2024 01:41PM

(Reuters) - Jeff Bezos-backed Blue Origin will resume flights to space on Sunday, ending a near two-year pause of crewed operations following a 2022 mission failure.

The NS-25 mission will lift off from Launch Site One in West Texas, with the launch window for the flight starting at 0830 CT (1330 GMT), the company said on Tuesday.
