(Reuters) -British newspaper groups have warned Apple that any move to impose a so-called "web eraser" tool to block advertisements would put the financial sustainability of journalism at risk, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.

Apple is preparing to include an AI-based privacy feature in the Safari browser in the next iOS 18 software update that will remove ads or other unwanted website content, the newspaper reported.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Sunday defended a decision to pause a delivery to Israel of 3,500 bombs over concerns they could be used in the Gazan city of Rafah, saying Israel lacked a "credible plan" to protect some 1.4 million civilians sheltering there.

MEXICO CITY/GUATEMALA CITY (Reuters) - A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck near the coast of Chiapas in Mexico on Sunday morning, the United States Geological Survey said.

The quake was at a depth of 75 km (46.6 miles), the USGS said.

Mexico's national civil protection agency reported on social media that it was monitoring the situation but that there were no initial reports of damage.

PARIS (Reuters) - U.S. internet giant Amazon will announce a new 1.2 billion euros ($1.3 billion) investment in France, the French presidency said on Sunday ahead of the start of the country's annual "Choose France" event.

It added that GSK would also announce new investments while Accenture would announce plans to set up new jobs in the artificial intelligence sector. The Choose France event begins on Monday.
