JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel's high-tech sector now accounts for 20% of the country's economic output, the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) said on Tuesday as it urged the government to invest more to allow tech to grow faster.

TOKYO (Reuters) - Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda said on Tuesday the central bank's basic stance is to allow market forces to set long-term interest rates.

MANILA (Reuters) - The Philippine military denied on Tuesday Chinese allegations that troops stationed on a grounded warship in the Second Thomas Shoal in the South China Sea had pointed guns at Chinese Coast Guard vessels.
