MILAN (Reuters) - Market demand for Fiat's new hybrid 500e small car amounts to around 100,000-110,000 units a year, a group executive said on Thursday, as the company offers a cheaper version of its fully-electric model (EV).
Fiat maker Stellantis last month announced it would add hybrid versions of its 500e small electric car and Jeep Compass SUV, to be manufactured in Italy, amid a global slowdown in electric car sales.

(Reuters) - The United States on Thursday imposed sanctions on Ecuadorean crime gang Los Lobos and its leader, the Treasury Department said in a statement.
Los Lobos, led by Wilmer Geovanny Chavarria Barre, known by his alias Pipo, has emerged as Ecuador's largest drug trafficking organization and contributes significantly to the violence gripping the country, the statement said.

(Reuters) - Melexis will provide Chinese car manufacturer NIO with current sensor chips for its traction inverter system, it said on Thursday, becoming the latest European supplier to partner with a Chinese automaker.
