(Reuters) - Uber Technologies will acquire Delivery Hero's foodpanda delivery business in Taiwan for $950 million in cash, the companies said on Tuesday.
Uber has also agreed to purchase $300 million in newly issued ordinary shares of Delivery Hero, they said.

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan envisages the need for electricity output to rise 35% to 50% by 2050 due to growing demand from semiconductor plants and data centres backing artificial intelligence (AI), the government has forecast.

KYIV (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Kyiv on Tuesday in the first visit to Ukraine by a senior U.S. official since Congress passed a long-delayed $61 billion military aid package for the country last month.
