BELGRADE (Reuters) - Serbia's ruling party defeated the opposition on Sunday in a vote for Belgrade city council and partial local elections across the country, marked by scuffles between opposition supporters and those of the populist President Aleksandar Vucic.
According to an unofficial vote count by the pollster CESID, the alliance led by Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) loyal to Vucic, won 52.9% of votes in the capital city.

(Reuters) - Rupert Murdoch has wed retired marine biologist Elena Zhukova in California, the fifth marriage for the 93-year-old media mogul, a spokesperson said on Sunday.
The wedding was held on Saturday at a Murdoch vineyard. Zhukova is 67. The couple began dating last year.

(Reuters) - Skydance Media last week revised its offer for Paramount Global to buy up to a certain number of non-voting Paramount shares at $15 each, the Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday citing people familiar with the matter.
The new proposal values Paramount B-shares at a roughly 26% premium to Friday's close, the report added.

CAIRO (Reuters) - Planning Minister Hala al-Saeed predicted Egypt's economy would grow by 2.9% or 3% in the financial year to end-June before accelerating to 4.2% in 2024/25, according to a ministry statement released on Sunday.
The growth would come from investment spending, net exports and imports and consumer spending, Saeed said.

(Reuters) -Online fashion firm Shein is preparing to file a prospectus with Britain's Financial Conduct Authority for approval ahead of a potential London float which could value it around 50 billion pounds ($63.70 billion), Sky News reported on Sunday.
The confidential filing could take place as soon as the coming week, the report added, citing sources.
Chinese-founded Shein did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
