NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Indian opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has chosen to represent his family bastion of Raebareli in parliament as his Congress Party seeks to build on the stronger than expected showing of opposition groups in the national election.

Hunter Biden's lawyers withdraw motion for new gun trial Jun 17, 2024 11:52AM

(Reuters) -Lawyers for Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, on Monday withdrew a filing seeking a new trial in his federal gun case, moments after the motion was uploaded to his case's docket in Delaware federal court, according to a note on a court document website.

"The Motion for a New Trial (formerly DI 233) has been deleted at the request of counsel," the note filed to the docket website read, describing it as a "correcting entry".

(Reuters) - A federal judge in Arkansas has tossed out a legal challenge by 17 Republican-led states to a U.S. agency rule giving workers who had abortions the same legal protections as those who are pregnant or recently gave birth.

States sue US to block rule requiring oil industry to pay for dismantling old wells Jun 17, 2024 11:41AM

HOUSTON (Reuters) - Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi on Monday sued the U.S. government to block the Biden administration's proposed rule that would require the offshore oil and gas industry to provide nearly $7 billion in funds to cover costs of dismantling old infrastructure.
