PARIS (Reuters) - U.S. internet giant Amazon will announce a new 1.2 billion euros ($1.3 billion) investment in France, the French presidency said on Sunday ahead of the start of the country's annual "Choose France" event.

It added that GSK would also announce new investments while Accenture would announce plans to set up new jobs in the artificial intelligence sector. The Choose France event begins on Monday.

RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) - The death toll from heavy rains in Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul state rose to 143, the local civil defense government body said on Sunday, up from 136 in the previous day, while another 125 people remain unaccounted for.

LAGOS (Reuters) - Prince Harry and his wife Meghan were on Sunday treated to street-style dances in Nigeria's commercial hub Lagos, where they unveiled a partnership between their Archewell Foundation and non-profit Giants of Africa, which uses sport to empower young people.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are visiting Africa's most populous nation for the first time after being invited by Nigeria's chief of defence staff.

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australia's government, preparing to announce the federal budget, said on Sunday inflation could moderate to the central bank's 2%-3% target range by the end of the year, a faster easing than predicted in December.

The Labor government also lowered down its economic growth forecasts.
