(Reuters) - National Bank of Canada reported a rise in second-quarter net profit on Wednesday, helped by strong performance in its wealth management unit.
Profit rose to C$906 million ($662.9 million), or C$2.54 per share, for the three months ended April 30, from C$832 million, or C$2.34 per share, a year earlier.

(Reuters) - U.S. stock index futures slipped on Wednesday, as megacap stocks were pressured by rising Treasury yields on concerns around the timing of the Federal Reserve's interest rate cuts.
Megacaps such as Apple, Meta and Nvidia dipped between 0.3% and 1.1% in trading before the bell as the yield on Treasury notes edged higher, with that on the five-year note hovering near four-week highs, following a weak debt auction.

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - A Pakistani court on Wednesday postponed a ruling on an appeal by former prime minister Imran Khan and his third wife against their conviction for unlawful marriage, their lawyer said.

(Reuters) - Canadian lender BMO Financial Group reported a fall in second-quarter adjusted profit on Wednesday, hurt by weakness in its U.S. business.
The bank's U.S. personal and commercial banking unit took a hit from a fall in net interest income (NII) - the difference between what banks earn on loans and what they pay out on deposits.
The unit's adjusted net income fell by 24% to C$612 million ($447.9 million) in the quarter.
