Nestle's health arm to buy first-ever fecal transplant pill Jun 6, 2024 07:56AM

(Reuters) -Nestle Health Science will buy the rights to Seres Therapeutics' Vowst, the companies said on Thursday, gaining access to the first ever pill alternative to fecal transplants for a deadly infection.

Nestle's unit will pay an undisclosed payment to Massachusetts-based Seres, and the drug maker will also receive capital infusions, the companies said.

Germany to decide on purchase of two more frigates next week, says source Jun 6, 2024 07:53AM

BERLIN (Reuters) - The German parliament's budget committee is expected to decide on a procurement proposal to purchase two more frigates for 3.18 billion euros ($3.46 billion) on Wednesday, according to a parliamentary source.

Ukrhydroenergo seeks damages for Russia's destruction of dam Jun 6, 2024 07:34AM

KYIV (Reuters) - Ukraine's Ukrhydroenergo said on Thursday it had initiated international arbitration seeking damages for Russia's destruction of the Kakhovka Dam and power station in June 2023.

The state-run hydro-electric company estimated the damage at 2.5 billion euros ($2.72 billion), it said.

Trade union says UK's Rwanda deportation policy makes officials break law Jun 6, 2024 07:27AM

LONDON (Reuters) - Government officials would be acting unlawfully by implementing Britain's plan to deport asylum seekers to Rwanda in breach of an order from Europe's human rights court, a civil servants' trade union told London's High Court on Thursday.

Bolivian scientists to track glacial changes at high speed with new equipment Jun 6, 2024 07:08AM

LA PAZ (Reuters) - Scientists in Bolivia are hoping to track glacial changes at lightning speed.

New scientific equipment being installed at the country's Huayna Potosi mountain peak will provide real-time measurements of glaciers' mass compared to much slower older methods.
