Feb 9 (Reuters) - The ⁠United Nations said ⁠on Monday ‍it is waiting for details on when and how much the United States will pay toward its delayed budget dues, following a promise last ‍week that Washington would make an initial payment within weeks.

SAO PAULO, ⁠Feb 9 (Reuters) - A ⁠branch ‍of Brazil's federal public prosecutors' office has denounced the potential use of force to remove Indigenous protesters from the vicinities ‍of a Cargill port terminal in the Amazon, according to ​a statement late last week.

Anarchists claim responsibility for rail sabotage during Italy Olympics Feb 9, 2026 02:26PM

ROME, Feb 9 (Reuters) - An ⁠anarchist group claimed ⁠responsibility ‍on Monday for sabotaging rail infrastructure in northern Italy on Saturday and disrupting train traffic on the first full ‍day of the Winter Olympic Games.

Police reported three separate episodes ​at different locations early on Saturday which caused delays of up to 2-1/2 hours ​for high-speed and regional services, particularly around the city of Bologna.
