LONDON (Reuters) - Alaska Airlines on Tuesday lost an appeal in an approximately $160 million trademark case with Virgin Group, after a London court last year ruled Virgin was entitled to royalties even though the U.S. airline no longer uses the Virgin brand.
Virgin units Virgin Aviation TM Ltd and Virgin Enterprises Ltd successfully argued Alaska is liable to pay a roughly $8 million "minimum royalty" payment every year until 2039.

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian marine specialists are racing to save a humpback whale which has become entangled in a fishing net north of the Arctic circle.

(Reuters) - Market intelligence platform AlphaSense said on Tuesday it had raised $650 million in its latest funding round, increasing its valuation to $4 billion.
The funding round was co-led by investment firm Viking Global Investors and merchant bank BDT & MSD Partners. It included participation from existing investors Alphabet's CapitalG and Goldman Sachs Alternatives.
