SAO PAULO (Reuters) - The death toll from floods in Brazil's southernmost state of Rio Grande do Sul rose to 147, local authorities said on Monday, while 127 people are still missing.
Heavy rains have caused several rivers and lakes in the region to hit their highest levels ever, while floods blocked streets and disrupted logistics, triggering a shortage of essential goods in certain areas.

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian oil giant Lukoil's Volgograd refinery was partly shut down after being hit by a drone attack on Sunday, two sources familiar with the matter said, the second such attack this year on the largest refinery in southern Russia.
The attack caused a fire at the 300,000 barrel-per-day refinery but it was put out quickly and there were no casualties, the head of the Volgograd region Andrei Bocharov said.

TUNIS (Reuters) - Tunisia's public prosecutor extended on Monday the detention of two journalists, while lawyers began a one-day strike to protest against the arrest of a prominent critic of the president, amid a growing political crisis in the country.
Tunisian police stormed the building of the deanship of lawyers on Saturday and arrested Sonia Dahmani, a lawyer known for her fierce criticism of President Kais Saied.
