BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany on Friday suggested Ukraine could use weapons supplied by Western countries to defend itself against attacks launched from just inside Russia against the northern border region around the city of Kharkiv in accordance with international law.

PARIS (Reuters) - Airbus is facing new pressure on its near-term production ramp-up for passenger jets due to parts and labour shortages, industry sources said on Thursday.
It was not immediately clear whether the slowdown would put at risk delivery targets for 2024 since deliveries lag output decisions by several months, but the sources said assembly of several dozen jets could be delayed in the second half.

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Euro zone inflation rose in May, data showed on Friday, in a sign the European Central Bank still faces a slow and uncertain journey to rein in prices.
The bigger-than-expected increase in inflation was unlikely to stop the ECB from lowering borrowing costs from a record high next week, but may cement the case for a pause in July and a slower pace of interest rate reductions in the coming months.
