BELGRADE (Reuters) - Strong winds, hail and flash floods caused havoc across Serbia on Tuesday, with one person killed when a tree toppled on to her car.
Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said the woman died in the northern town of Sombor. Rescuers also had to evacuate several people in the area.
Storms also hit Bosnia and Croatia.

KYIV (Reuters) - A Russian attack on energy facilities in Ukraine's Sumy region overnight severed power to more than 500,000 consumers, the energy ministry said on Wednesday.
Ukraine's air force shot down seven drones used in the attack, according to the regional authorities. The power supply has been restored for most consumers as of Wednesday morning, the ministry said.

DUBAI (Reuters) - The General Staff of Iran's Armed Forces on Wednesday downplayed the role played by a Turkish drone in finding the crash site of President Ebrahim Raisi's helicopter, highlighting instead the performance of its own drones.

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's Rakuten Group is partnering with eBay to test U.S. demand for used Japanese fashion goods, made all the cheaper with the yen trading near a 34-year low.
The tie-up, which started on May 8 with just seven vendors on Rakuten's second-hand goods unit Rakuma, aims to capitalise on the currency effect and also a move toward bargain hunting as cost-of-living pressures around the world crimp spending.
