(Reuters) - Deutsche Bank has raised its 2024 year-end S&P 500 target to 5,500, the highest among major brokerages, banking on strong corporate earnings to support equity valuations.
The brokerage previously expected the index to finish 2024 at 5,100 points. The new target, at the top end of its range of 5,100-5,500, is around 4% higher than the index's last close of 5,303.27.

HELSINKI (Reuters) - Alphabet-owned Google will invest a further 1 billion euros ($1.1 billion) into the expansion of its data centre campus in Finland to drive its artificial intelligence (AI) business growth in Europe, it said in a statement on Monday.
In recent years, many data centres have been located in the Nordic countries because of the region's cooler climate, tax breaks and abundant availability of renewable power.

(Reuters) - The U.S. auto safety regulator said on Monday it has opened a recall query into an estimated 51,500 Volkswagen America's EVs over concerns of the vehicle door opening while driving.
The U.S National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said it received 12 complaints over Volkswagen's electric ID.4 SUVs built between 2021 and 2023.
