Kaplan University Earns Reaffirmation of Regional Accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission

Exhaustive peer review process reconfirms approval of University’s educational programs and integrity of operations through 2025-2026 academic year
DAVENPORT, Iowa--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kaplan University, today announced that it has received Reaffirmation of Accreditation by the Institutional Actions Council (IAC) of the Higher Learning Commission. The determination continues Kaplan University’s regional accreditation through its 2025-2026 academic year.
The regularly scheduled reaffirmation process included a thorough peer review of Kaplan University’s assurance argument which was complemented by site visits to seven Kaplan University ground campuses.

Dr. Vandenbosch noted that with this reaffirmation, Kaplan University has been given the choice of an accreditation pathway to follow until the next reaffirmation in 2025-2026.

Founded in 1895, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) is one of six regional institutional accreditors in the United States. HLC accredits degree-granting post-secondary educational institutions in the North Central region, which includes 19 states. Recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, the HLC accredits approximately one-third of U.S. regionally accredited public and private institutions.
