2015 Inmar Analytics Forum A Resounding Success of Transformational Business Dialog

April 13, 2015 2:01 PM EDT

Winston-Salem, NC (PRWEB) April 13, 2015

Inmar, a company that operates intelligent commerce networks, today reported excellent engagement and collaboration following the close of the 2015 Inmar Analytics Forum, marking two-and-a-half days of dynamic discussions about using data to drive innovation and business improvements in promotions, healthcare and supply chain. The annual event, presented in partnership with Wake Forest University Center for Retail Innovation, brought together the best minds in business and academia to explore the practical application of data analytics to drive conversion, create operational efficiencies and bring about improved business and consumer/patient outcomes.

"This was a truly dynamic three days of engagement among industry experts and great academic minds, sharing innovative approaches to the power of utilizing data to transform businesses and drive game-changing innovation," said Inmar Chairman and CEO David Mounts. "Bringing people together for this kind of discussion of disruptive ideas is as humbling as it is exciting, knowing the difference we can make in the growth and profitability of these companies and the difference that will make in the lives of the consumers and patients they serve."

The event was marked by keynote addresses from former Obama campaign advisor and Uber executive David Plouffe and healthcare visionary and data guru, Dr. Farzad Mostashari, CEO of Aledade, and Dr. Rogan Kersh, Provost at Wake Forest University.

In addition to more than 50 breakout sessions with industry leaders outlining trends, challenges and data-driven solutions in promotions, healthcare and supply chain, attendees also heard presentations from top undergraduate and graduate student teams from around the world who competed in the Wake Forest University School of Business Marketing Analytics Summit case competition. The competition challenges students to provide solutions to real-world marketing situations – in 2015 focusing on the growing need for marketers to combine data-driven solutions backed by profound human insights. The team from the University of Maryland took top honors in the undergraduate competition, and the graduate-level award went to the team from Northwestern University.

Registration for this year's Inmar Analytics Forum was more than triple that of the 2014 Inmar Forum.

"The growth of this event is such an exciting indicator of where the future lies with new uses for data in the evolution of business," said Mounts. "It is a real privilege to facilitate these conversations among top professionals, young minds and visionaries, and you can bet that Inmar will continue to drive this kind of excitement about innovation."

Inmar also announced a new challenge in collaboration with Flywheel, a neighbor in the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter, to challenge creative, entrepreneurial minds to develop a digital health solution that helps individuals better track, manage and improve their health, their families' health, and ultimately overall population health. The goal is a solution that calls upon all of the technologies available to us – wireless devices, hardware sensors, mobile, health information technology, social media – to make medicine more personalized and precise, accessible and of higher quality while at the same time reducing cost and inefficiency.

A $25,000 prize will be awarded to the group creating the best solution. More detailed information and an application form will be available on Inmar's and Flywheel's websites at the end of April – with an application deadline of June 1.

"As we've come into the age of an internet of things, we can now use data analytics and diverse technologies to enable an internet of support, that enables the individual's personal goals and outcomes," said Mounts. "We're partnering with Flywheel to challenge great minds to use all that we have available to actually improve the human condition."
