Continuing from an earlier report that Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) is planning on certain Windows 8 license discounts to OEMs, it might need to do something more drastic for one of the largest in the game.
According to Venture Beat, which cites two German news sources, Samsung is planning to put the kibosh on sales of a 10.1-inch Windows RT Ativ Tab in Germany. Given that Germany is that largest economy in the bloc, the move is notable.
Samsung previously said that it had no plans to bring a Windows RT tablet to the States anytime soon. The company said the decision wasn't permanent, but that it made the most sense at the time.
Microsoft is down about 1.3 percent in mid-day trading Tuesday.
