Investor Group Looking To Oust Bank of America's (BAC) Ken Lewis

February 2, 2009 10:33 AM EST
The NY Post reported a group of angry and upset Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) shareholders plans to demand the removal of Bank of America's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ken Lewis.

Jerry Finger, a Bank of America shareholder and leader of an ongoing class-action lawsuit against Lewis and other Bank of America directors, told The Post that he has gathered support for other measures that he wants Bank of America to discuss at this year's Annual Meeting.

Jerry Finger sued BAC claiming Lewis and former Merrill Lynch chief John Thain, among others, failed to protect shareholders' interests when they struck the merger of their two faltering firms last year.

Finger claims his group of angry shareholders owns approximately 1.5 million Bank of America shares.

Bank of America usually holds its annual meeting in April but a spokesman told The Post that no date has been set yet.
