Android (GOOG) Continues Grabbing Market Share in Sept., While iOS (AAPL) Makes Notable Gain

Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) Android mobile operating system outpaced peers once again last Month.
According to the latest data from StatCounter, Android's market share was 49.74 percent in September, from 49.10 percent the prior month and 36.03 percent in September 2013.
Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iOS saw and uptick from 32.9 percent in August to 33.79 percent last month. Market share for iOS was 33.82 in September of last year.
BlackBerry (Nasdaq: BBRY) boasted share of 1.31 percent for September, from 1.33 percent the prior month and 3.06 percent percent in the same period last year.
Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) Windows Phone took 1.86 percent share, down slightly from 1.91 percent in August and up from 1.34 percent in September 2013.
