Android (GOOG) Adds to Mobile Market Share in March as iOS (AAPL) Recedes

Google (Nasdaq: GOOG)(Nasdaq: GOOGL) Android continues to add market share, according to the latest data from StatCounter.
In the month of March 2015, Android gained 1.17 points for global mobile operating system share of 61.96 percent, from 60.79 percent in February and 48.26 percent reported in teh same period last year.
Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) iOS saw a modest 0.56 point drop to 22.61 percent. The operating system boasted market share of 23.60 percent in March 2014.
Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) Windows Phone reported no sequential gain at 2.27 percent. That's up 0.05 points from March 2014. BlackBerry was also flat at 1.2 percent, from 2.5 percent recorded in March 2014.
