McDonald's Franchisee Files $1B IPO

How much can you make as a McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) franchisee? Ask Woods Staton, CEO if Arcos Dorados Holdings, he knows the answer.

In an F-1 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission today, Arcos Dorados Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ARCO), filed for an IPO of 62,461,539 Class A Common Stock. With a proposed maximum offering of $15 per share (tentative to change), that amounts to a $1.08 billion dollar company.

A McDonald's franchisee.

Of the total shares, Arcos Dorados will be offering 12,461,539, and Selling Shareholders will be offering 50,000,000 Class A Common Shares.

They plan to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker "ARCO."

Woods Staton intends on buying two million Common at the public offering price.

The Stock will be offered through BofA Merrill Lynch, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Itau BBA, and Citi.

Arcos Dorados operates 1,755 McDonald's-branded restaurants throughout LatAm and the Caribbean, which represent 6.7% of McDonald’s total franchised restaurants worldwide at the end of 2010.
