First Solar (FSLR) Surges On S&P 500 Addition

Shares of First Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: FSLR) are rocketing higher in after-hours action on news it will replace Wyeth in the S&P 500. Shares closed at $143.76 and are now at $152.02, up 5.4%.

Wyeth is being acquired by S&P 100 & 500 constituent Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) in a deal expected to close soon pending final approvals.
