Hospira (HSP) Recalls Two Drugs Over Contamination Issue, FDA Says

Hospira, Inc. (NYSE: HSP) is lower on the session following headlines that the company recalled two drugs over potential contamination risk.
According to the FDA, about 145,000 vials of nalbuphine were recalled on November 21st and 120,000 vials of lidocaine injections were recalled on October 4th. Malbuphine was recalled over loose or missing caps while lidocaine had reports of particulate matter embedded in a glass wall of the vials.
With its quarterly conference call on November 7th, Hospira said it was making progress with remediation over the recalls.
Shares are down 0.8 percent Friday.
