Challenger Report Shows Companies Slow Firings
According to Challenger, Gray & Christmas, planned job firings fell 9% in June from 81,755 to 74,393, the best in a year.
John Challenger said, "It appears that many employers have reached the staffing levels they need to make it through the recession," but Challenger said it could be several months before hiring returns.
