NVIDIA (NVDA) Sinks On Analyst Downgrade

October 6, 2008 2:03 PM EDT

Shares of NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) are down 15% today after Pacific Crest downgraded the graphics chip maker from Outperform to Sector Perform, saying the company could post disappointing Q3 profits due to slowing demand.

The firm said NVIDIA could report earnings sooner than scheduled due to lower results which were affected by a surprising dip in back-to-school shopping demand.

NVIDIA Corporation provides visual computing technologies designed to generate interactive graphics on consumer and professional computing devices in the United States and internationally.
