Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO) is hoping its latest promotion -- which is a big one -- will garner more loyalty out of users.
Reuters reported late Tuesday that Yahoo! will cut-off users from accessing services like its Fantasy Sports and Flickr sites via external login. That include use of Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) and Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) passwords. Those wanting to access the sites will need to register and use a Yahoo ID.
Utilizing the change first will be the Yahoo! Sports Tourney Pick'Em. This is the challenge in which participants register and fill out an NCAA bracket with the perfect bracket winning $1 billion. You can read more about the bracket on Yahoo!'s Tumblr page
