Looking to gain relevancy in the tablet segment, Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) is looking to Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPad owners for a boost.

Here's the thing: it's not that great of a deal. If you search on eBay for about half-a-minute, you will see that most sellers are still looking for prices at $250 and upwards. While there's more risk inherent on selling on eBay (bum buyers or no bidders at all), it might be worth it if you don't mind the wait or already upgraded to the next-generation iPad.
As a side note, the prices asked on eBay are a testament to the quality of the iPad line. Even after being used for a few years, the tablets are still very-capable devices.
Now, Microsoft did say that $200 was the minimum and we're sure the company isn't looking to low-ball any potential customers. Getting a switch has many more intangible benefits for Microsoft versus looking to immediately profit on the deal.
