Apple (AAPL), Comcast (CMCSA) Continue Broadcast Talks at Sun Valley Event

July 11, 2013 7:15 AM EDT
Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) CEO Tim Cook might be making a few deals as the CEO attends the annual Sun Valley conference this year.

Notably, the NY Post points out that Cook and Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) CEO Brian Roberts have been in cahoots, carrying on a months-long discussion over content. The two might be in talks over how Comcast might bring its broadcasting to Apple TV users, the Post noted.

Cook has also reportedly already been in talks with Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) boss Glenn Britt, though those discussions started before this weeks Sun Valley event. That deal appears more likely to happen given that Time Warner Cable also supplies content to Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) Xbox as well as the Roku media unit.

Being the face of content is key for Roberts, which is why a deal between Apple and Comcast hasn't been struck yet. Investors will be clamoring for any further news on a deal with Comcast, the nation's top cable operator, following closing of the event next week.

Shares of Apple are indicated higher Thursday.
