Synchronoss Technologies (SNCR) Bouncing On Apple (AAPL) iPhone Activation Problems

July 11, 2008 2:46 PM EDT

Today, Synchronoss Technologies (Nasdaq: SNCR) is bouncing on Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone activation problems. Currently, Synchronoss is trading up just over 7%. Synchronoss was the main company to activate iPhones over the air, when the first iPhone was introduced. However, to stem the number of unlocked iPhones, Apple opted not to renew its contract with Synchronoss Technologies, instead preferring to activate the phones on their own network. Well, today, across the country Apple is having problems with activations, and thus, selling less iPhones. Perhaps, Apple may think about working with Synchronoss again?
