Celgene (CELG) Closes Up 8.4%
Celgene (Nasdaq: CELG) closes up 8.4% today on volume that was over four times as strong as Celgene's average daily volume. Celgene is trading at its highest level since October 2007.
Celgene's shares rose as potential competitor to CELG's bone-marrow cancer treatment in Europe failed a late-stage clinical trial. Its rival SuperGen (Nasdaq: SUPG) said Dacogen didn't improve the survival rate of patients. SuperGen's stock closed down 14.63% to a low of $1.75.
