Siemens I work for Siemens Power Generation and our plant has been on overtime for a year. They're even hiring . Believe me they are not broke. Just bought 2 machines that cost 1 million each and more on the way.

UBS downgrades Siemens to Sell UBS says, sell Siemens, eh? Oddly enough, I don't recall Siemens needing a cash handout to stay afloat.

VWDRY Though some opine the oil price drop means low thrust for Vestas-VWDRY, the current trade-off is wind vs. coal, not vs. oil. Long term, it's the ramp-up rate for hybrid plug-ins, like Chevy's Volt. Meanwhile, VWDRY came off the naked shorts recently; orders world- wide keep pouring in, and no other solid pure play exists for U.S. wind investors. RE: down side, the Danes won't let Vestas fail, anymore than Paulson'd let Goldman Sachs go down. Global upshot is, wind power grows fast or faster, whether it's Obama or McCain't.

Siemens Siemens management is either incompetent or dishonest--they should have known about the problems.
