potash These guys are nuts. Please sign out from being a broker and run a day camp for the inept.Potash is running hot, and had great earnings. It is not part of the gold bubble. There are real farmers planting and a real pop boom in India, China, Middle East. Can we say drought ? drought ruined lots of ly crops, thus SHORTAGE. Plant more now, use fertilizer, up goes Potash. Brokers go away with stupid downgrades, Please tell me how broken down citi goes up a few bucks and has a sell on it and people bail from pot. Seems like alot of rumor planting by guys inside firms that want the price to go down. Leave us little guys alone, so we can invest widely without your dumb rumors and knee jerks, so we can retire, since there is no help from anywhere else to help us save, Bush is ruining our futures by spending in Iraq, so at least leave our Potash alone, you bad brokers and bad downgrade rumor monguls

"Merrill Lynch raises price targets for Potash, Mosaic and Agrium Potash, Agrium & Mosaic were all UPGRADED by Merill Lynch late Friday. See news release below. This stock should take off on Monday after this upgrade. Here is the article. "Merrill Lynch raises price targets for Potash, Mosaic and Agrium 4/25/2008 3:27:50 PM NEW YORK, Apr 26, 2008 (Thomson Financial via COMTEX) -- Merrill Lynch Friday raised its price targets for Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc., Mosaic Co., and Agrium Inc., citing surging phosphate and potash prices. The brokerage increased its target on Potash to $260 from $215, on Mosaic to $180 from $150, and on Agrium to $115 from $105. The firm also boosted its 2008 and 2009 earnings estimates for Potash and Agrium, and fiscal 2009 and 2010 profit estimates for Mosaic. In a note to clients, analyst Don Carson said price increases in domestic and offshore potash markets over the last month have exceeded his expectations of where prices would be in 2009, let alone for the balance of 2008. "With global stocks to use for corn and wheat at 30 and 60 year lows, we expect grain prices to remain above trend for some time which is positive for fertilizer demand," Carson said. Global potash capacity use will remain at currently high levels during the next several years, Carson said, as robust demand growth is expected to outpace new supply growth. Carson estimates global potash demand will grow in the 2.6% to 3.9% range for the next seven years, but said that it "could prove to be low" as global potash consumption increased by an average of 4.7% per year for the last five years." China's imposition of a 135% tariff on phosphate fertilizer exports from April 20 to September 30, aimed at ensuring adequate domestic fertilizer supplies, are expected to further tighten global phosphate fertilizer supplies, the analyst said. Shares of Potash rallied 5.7% to $361, while Mosaic jumped 8.2% to $132.46 and Agrium rose 5.1% to $89.03. Wanfeng Zhou wz/vj COPYRIGHT Copyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
