at 04:26 PM Oppenheimer & Co advise about 1 1/2 years ago Oppenehimer & Co advised me to use auction rate securities as an alternate to a money market fund for my short term savings. In fact they gave that advise to thousands of their clients and collected about a billion dollars from them. To date Oppenheimer & Co has returned any of that money to their clients. Good luck with the advise they give you. Make sure you get a second opinion.
