at 11:43 AM Are you surprised? An independent regulatory authority has barred a former Piper Jaffray Cos. broker from working in the securities industry after finding that he engaged in insider trading earlier this year. Abhishek Uppal, of San Francisco, worked in Minneapolis-based Piper Jaffray’s investment banking department from 2007 to July 2009. Piper Jaffray (NYSE: PJC) was acting as a confidential advisor to SoftBrands Inc., of Minneapolis, in its dealings with possible buyers. Uppal knew about a pending acquisition of SoftBrands Inc. when he spent about $12,000 in June to buy 27,161 shares of the company, at 42 to 45 cents per share, according to the Washington, D.C.-based Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, or FINRA. SoftBrands’ stock nearly doubled days later, on June 12, when SoftBrands announced it was being acquired by San Francisco-based private-equity firm Golden Gate Capital and its Alpharetta, Ga.-based portfolio company Infor for 92 cents per share, at a total transaction value of about $80 million. The next business day, June 15, Uppal sold all his SoftBrands stock at 89 cents per share, and made a nearly $12,000 profit. In settling the matter, Uppal neither admitted nor denied the charges, according to FINRA.

at 04:17 PM 170 Musd is worth less than 100 Musd As a teacher it's very hard for me to explain that for my pupil. They are not that stupid. Wake me up please, this must be a bad joke! I thought stupidity was an obstacle for a career, but lately it seems like an opportunity.

at 11:41 AM illegal a few weeks after Piper Jaffrays initial coverage (giving a target price of $3,5) they announced owning 13% of the shares. During the weeks used for accumulating these shares the share price was well above their target price $3,5... what Piper Jeffray are doing should lead to legal action. i believe it sound to question an analyst who fails to mention the facts pointed out by the writers before me /concerned shareholder

at 10:03 AM Bring in additional capital??? They are loaded with money!! Myriad Pharma have speaken to deaf ears. In the presentation in July where the so called analyst from PiperJaffray should have stayed awake and listened. They've been told that Myriad have sufficiient money to bring Azixa to market all by themselves. They don't need any partnership for that! Why share future revenue if they don't have to. But with Bevirimat, wich in comparison needs a very large study , they might need partnership. Listen learn and do right nex time!

at 09:38 AM Price target It would be very interesting to have a look on how the target price $5 is calculated. I cannot see this "analysis" serious until I see some facts behind the price target.
