Victoza vs Byetta I was moved on to Byetta from insulin in 2008 for a period of 9 months. Everything was fine for 7 months and I lost 42 pounds in weight and my glucoze control was excellent. Unfortunately, after 7 months my glucoze levels increased dramatically and my weight started to increase once again and after taking Byetta for 9 months I had to go back to insulin once again and my weight has increased to a higher level than it was when I started Byetta.although my glucoze levels have once again come under control. I have today been introduced to Victoza by my diabetic consultant and I hope to be accepted to receive this new product. I believe that the more people that are able to try these new items the better and more accurate studies will become. Who knows, with us being fortunate enough to try these new products one day there will be total control for all!

Despite Lehman failure... Hats off to the Wall Street gurus who pulled off deals despite the carnage for example Teva's successful takeover of Barr was represented by Lehman until the venerable finance house went belly up. Nevertheless the deal close on time.

Byetta Death I sincerely believe that Amylin is suppressing the true number of Byetta related deaths. My husband died in less that a month of using Byetta. He had all the symptoms that patients are now being warned of. If only this information was made available earlier perhaps he would have pulled through. I completed an Adverse Event with the FDA to no avail. No one followed up with me. Amylin - Eli Lilly doesn't regard life, just profit.
