Store Closure to Continue Unless.. Store vacancies will continue to rise if GGP does not start making concessions on the lease with tenants. Mall traffic is down significantly and GGP is not doing anything to bring people into the malls, yet lease payments are due the same. Convert lease agreements to percentage rents (at least temporarily) to help the tenants, and to further alleviate tenant closures. They need to stop standing around and just collecting rent.
