Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) Continues Higher

Alcatel-Lucent, S.A. (NYSE: ALU) marched higher on Monday, a move related to increased M&A speculation. Chatter kicked into high gear on Tuesday, September 3rd, following news Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) plans to buy Nokia's (NYSE: NOK) device business. Since then, the stock is higher by over 15%, with chatter ongoing.

On Friday, CNBC's Jim Cramer chimed in, recommending the stock on increase telcom equipment spending in the U.S. and Europe. Cramer also noted potential interest by Nokia.
