Monday morning an analyst at Morgan Stanley upgraded shares of United Technologies (NYSE: UTX) while at the same time downgrading shares of Goodrich (NYSE: GR).
Morgan Stanley now rates United Technologies shares an Overweight, up from Equalweight previously, and shares of Goodrich an Equalweight, down from a prior Overweight rating.
The revised ratings follow news last week United Technologies has agreed to acquire Goodrich in a $18.4 billion deal.
The analyst said the announced acquisition of Goodrich by United Technologies provides no upside for shares of Goodrich.
