PowerBack Rehabilitation Set to Open in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, CO -- (Marketwired) -- 05/07/15 -- Colorado's newest rehabilitation center is set to open later this month. PowerBack Rehabilitation in Lafayette is the first collaboration between Mainstreet and Genesis HealthCare. The two companies hosted a grand open house at the property this evening.

Construction started on PowerBack Rehabilitation in Lafayette, located at 329 Exempla Circle, in December 2013. Indiana-based Mainstreet developed the property and Pennsylvania-based Genesis HealthCare is leasing and operating it.

PowerBack Rehabilitation was launched by Genesis HealthCare in 2012 in response to the market demand for shorter post-hospital patient recovery periods and fewer post-discharge setbacks. PowerBack's goal is to help patients get back home as quickly and safely as possible.

The 99-bed, 69,643-square-foot PowerBack Rehabilitation in Lafayette features private suites, a large movie theatre, a game room and walking trails, as well as bistros, an on-site chef and more.

This will be the ninth PowerBack Rehabilitation center in the United States and the second in the state; Genesis also operates a PowerBack Rehabilitation in Lakewood, Colorado. • 7-7-7 Rehabilitation therapy (7 days/week, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.)
• 1-2-4 (Nursing, Therapy and Physician assessments done within first four hours of admission)
• Daily physician/nurse practitioner rounding
• Care Transition Nurse (for 30 days post discharge)
• Private Suites
• Transitional Suites
• Restaurant-style dining

• Guest Service Specialists

PowerBack Rehabilitation in Lafayette also offers Transitional Suites for patients requiring additional assistance before they go home. Transitional Suites, a unique service in the post-acute continuum of care, offers patients an independent stepping stone that brings the right balance of independence and clinical oversight to prepare patients for their return home, while potentially reducing their overall cost of care. Patients who need a bit more support before returning safely home can be cared for by the same expert therapists who have cared for them throughout their stay at PowerBack Rehabilitation. The project, which represents a total community investment of $16.6 million, created 284 construction jobs and 150 permanent jobs.
