Music Streaming Company CÜR Media Names JP Lespinasse Chief Marketing Officer as Company Prepares for the Upcoming Launch of CÜR Music

GLASTONBURY, Conn., April 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CÜR Media, Inc. ("CÜR Media" or the "Company") (OTCQB: CURM) (OTCBB: CURM) announced today the hiring of JP Lespinasse as its Chief Marketing Officer to spearhead the Company's marketing efforts for the planned launch of CÜR Music, a social mobile and web streaming music service designed to enable its users to go beyond the limitations of traditional music streaming services. 

Mr. Lespinasse brings extensive experience in formulating strategic marketing initiatives and mass market product launches for major media organizations and high profile brands including BET Networks, the National Basketball Association (the" NBA"), Nokia and the GAP. Mr. Lespinasse has demonstrated a particular strength in developing digital media plans targeting younger demographics and creating comprehensive marketing campaigns across numerous media channels including digital, print, sponsorship development, and television.

Prior to joining CÜR Media, Mr. Lespinasse has established a long history of providing leadership in driving the strategic launches of high profile entertainment, media, and retail products through various sales channels. He most recently served as Senior Director of Marketing and Social Media at BET Networks, where he developed strategies for all social media platforms amassing a following of over 75MM fans with significant monthly traffic to BET's website. Mr. Lespinasse was also responsible for BET's media buying on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter, and was instrumental in creating cross-promotional campaigns for BET's initiatives through Viacom. During his tenure, BET was recognized as the most social TV brand for January 2014, and as a top 25 social brand in the U.S. for all of 2014. From 2008-2011, as Director of Marketing for the NBA, he not only created the first ever 360-degree marketing campaign for the NBA's Development League – which included a re-branding, television spots, out of home ads, production of a weekly show on NBATV, and robust digital overlays, but he also led the NBA's Social Media team. Mr. Lespinasse created the marketing strategy for the NBA's social media platforms in conjunction with NBA.com and Turner Sports, to constantly evolve the NBA's fan engagement via its social and digital channels. Under his direction, the NBA achieved the rank of number one U.S. sports property on Facebook, with over 50 million "likes" and maintained the number one sports brand rank on Twitter, with over 35 million followers. During his four year tenure at Nokia he managed a $6 million budget for Nokia's N-Series line of products to develop guidelines for marketing programs implemented across six regions around the world. While at Nokia, Mr. Lespinasse worked with movie studios and artists to place products and experiences in film, TV, video games and music videos.  Earlier in his career Mr. Lespinasse also served in various marketing and public relations capacities at GAP/Old Navy.
