Westmoreland Coal (WLB) Posts Q3 GAAP Loss of $2.95/Share

Westmoreland Coal (NASDAQ: WLB) reported Q3 EPS of ($2.95), $1.81 worse than the analyst estimate of ($1.14). Revenue for the quarter came in at $337.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $277 million.

Net loss in the quarter was $49.3 million and included charges of $23.7 million of unrealized, non-cash derivative based losses and $3.3 million of restructuring charges.
