Rent-A-Center, Inc. (RCII) Tops Q3 EPS Views; Comps Rose 1.9%

Rent-A-Center, Inc. (NASDAQ: RCII) reported Q3 EPS of $0.49, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.47. Revenue for the quarter came in at $769.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $773.32 million.

Same store sales increased 1.9% as compared to the same period in the prior year, primarily attributable to increases of 25.7% and 25.9% in the Acceptance Now and Mexico segments, respectively, partially offset by a 3.6% decrease in the Core U.S. segment.
