Northland Capital Markets initiates coverage on MOKO Social Media (NASDAQ: MOKO) with a Outperform rating and a price target of $9.00.
Analyst Darren Afthai commented, "While Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus account for ~2.1B+ (albeit with some overlap) global social networking users, they are limited in scope in terms of addressing large sub-segmented social communities that share a common interest with the need to communicate with each other. MOKO’s mobile social application strategy specifically addresses this issue by targeting large sub-segmented communities in a highly-tailored fashion, which it seeks to do in a differentiated manner by 1) controlling the only mobile conduit to the information that specific social communities need, and 2) by entering into exclusive arrangements
with vertical partner groups, associations, and governing bodies."
Afthai notes MOKO’s first six social mobile applications cover the Collegiate, Political, and Sports verticals with an estimated total addressable market (TAM) of ~180M users, and even higher level of potential ‘instances’.
He also notes MOKO is in the extremely early stages of its mobile application launch strategy; aggregating users will be its biggest challenge (and opportunity).
