Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.55 per share, or $2.2 annualized. This is a 3.8% increase from the prior dividend of $0.53.
The dividend will be payable on November 3, 2014, to stockholders of record on October 10, 2014, with an ex-dividend date of October 8, 2014.
The annual yield on the dividend is 4.4 percent.
This is the eighth consecutive year that Verizon's Board of Directors has approved a quarterly dividend increase.
