Express (EXPR) Tops Q2 EPS by 8c; Guides FY14 EPS Above Consensus

Express (NYSE: EXPR) reported Q2 EPS of $0.08, $0.08 better than the analyst estimate of $0.00. Revenue for the quarter came in at $481.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $457.1 million.
Comparable sales during the quarter (including e-commerce sales) decreased 5%, compared to a comparable sales increase of 6% in last year's second quarter. E-commerce sales rose 3% to $61.8 million.
Express sees FY2014 EPS of $0.13-$0.18, versus the consensus of $0.16.
Express sees FY2014 EPS of $0.85-$0.95, versus the consensus of $0.81.
