Staples, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLS) reported Q2 EPS of $0.12, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.11. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.16 billion.
Comps fell 5 percent.
For the third quarter of 2014, the company expects sales to decrease versus the third quarter of 2013. . The company also sees Q3 2014 EPS of $0.34-$0.39, versus the consensus of $0.37.
